The provision of Royalty for foreign climbers came into effect from 1 January 2015 (B.S.2071/09/17)
Royalty for Nepalese climbers came into effect from 13 February 2014 (B.S.2070/11/01).
The Mountaineering Royalty has been totally waived to the mountains situated on Mid Western and Far Western Development Region of Nepal for 5 years effecting from 2070/04/01-2075/03/32 (16 July 2013 to 15 July 2018).

The climbing team must destroy or recycle the wastage in front of the concerned authorities and if not the team must bring back the wastage to Kathmandu and hand over to the concerned institution or body directed by Nepal Government.
The disposable responsibility is given to expedition operater on behalf of all climbing members and the company itself. The responsibility also indirectly goes to all individual expedition members as well.
The refundable garbage deposit is fixed and the rate varies in accordance to the importance of peak or mountain permitted to climb. In case of failing to proper management of garbage, authorities are not going to refund the deposited garbage amount.
