Manaslu Special Trekking Permit as well Tsum Valley Trek permit cost for year 2024

Following Permits are required to Trek in Manaslu Himalayas of Nepal.
Trekkers must book their trek with a Registred Trekking Company or be accompanied by a Registered Trekking Guide. Also,Trekkers need a group of at least two people before getting these permits.
1. Special Manaslu Trekking Permit
A. September-November: USD 100 for 7 days per person and after 7 days USD 15 per day per person.
December-August: USD 75 for 7 days per person and after 7 days USD 10 perd day per person.

2. Conservation (National Park) Area Entrance Permit
A. ACAP (Annapurna Conservation Area Project) Entrance Permit. USD 25 per person

3. TIMS (Trekkers Information Management System) CARD
TIMS CARD is mandatory to trek in Manalsu Cirtcuit Trekking Trail.

4. Chumnubri Rural Municipality Entrance permit
From September 5, 2024 (Nepali date 20 Bhadra, 2081), Chumnubri Rural Municipality Entry fee for Manaslu Trekking Region of Nepal have been applied as Nepali Rs. 1000 (about USD 8) per per person for International Trekkers and Rs. 200 per person for Nepali Domestic Trekkers. see details at: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/NMxkBC9MeKznsAm1/
Note: To issue the Permit , a Passport size photograph and a copy of passport are required.

Manaslu trekking is an exotic off-the-beaten trail that lets you explore the pristine region of Nepal. It is considered to be a moderate level trekking with cultural, historical and natural tours and a maximum elevation of 5160m at Larkya La Pass. The total length of the Manaslu trekking is around 177 kilometers.

Before coming to Nepal, you should know that trekking in different parts of Nepal requires different kinds of permits. manaslu trek permit are briefly described below.
Manaslu Circuit trek was opened for the international trekkers in the year 1991 A.D. Even after that, the government of Nepal has listed Tsum valley and other villages of the Manaslu region as a restricted region of Nepal. And when a region is listed as restricted, the independent travelers cannot hike to Manaslu as solo trekkers.

There are different rates (trekking Permit fees) applicable for different routes to acquire the Permits. Visit the link for detail. Permit fees are quoted in US dollars but payable in Nepali Rupees. Trekking permit is not issued beyond visa expiration date. Hence, trekkers must have valid visa for sufficient number of days covering their trekking schedule.
